Whats going this week...6/8-6/9
Welcome back! On Thursday, I will allow students to ask questions about their Warm up and Weekly Essential packets and we will grade them in class on FRIDAY! 5/8-5/11 Have a Happy Track Out! This week in math, we are working on our released test and we will finish this up and have an evaluation sheet to be sent home and signed by the parents. Over track-out: Students need to complete their Warm up packet and Weekly Essentials Packet. I will also be sending home an OPTIONAL extra practice packet with the answer key, students are more than welcome to take one and work them out at home. 4/24-5/5 I am so sorry about not posting last week, but here is a run-down about what we did... We finished up our unit: Systems of Equations on Wednesday. On Thursday we started our final unit: Transformations in the coordinate plane. They were given a packet that is due on 5/4 that goes over the entire unit! This week: Students are finishing up their last unit and should expect a quiz on Thursday and review on Friday with a Test on Monday about transformations. Heads Up: Track out work is their warm up packet and Weekly essential packet, I talked with the students and they said they would rather have the quiz after track out than before track out, but they should be done before track out... but should be is not always what happens... Please make sure that they have both of these packets before tracking out and if they do not, please email me. 4/17-4/21 This week students will be working on our unit from Systems of Equations. Expect a quiz that reviews all of the unit on Friday!!! On Tuesday and Wednesday during lunch, I will be providing tutoring to students to help them with understanding slope. Due: Test Corrections and/or Signed Slope Test (Friday- Students with a signed test will be retaking the test Friday during EE time and Lunch) Systems of Equations Packet (Friday BEGINNING of class) Heads Up: Over track out students will need to finish their Warm Up packets to be turned in the week we return. Systems of Equations Test 4/26 Transformation Unit Start 4/27 No Tutoring 5/11 Track Out 5/12 4/10-4/13 There will be no tutoring on Thursday!!! We do not have school on Friday. This week, we are finishing with our unit on Statistics and Probability. We will have a test on Tuesday. Then, we will begin our next unit on Systems on Equations. Don't forget to keep up with your Warm ups and Weekly Essentials. IMPORTANT: I passed back the Slope Test on Monday, and students have 2 options to improve their grade: 1. Students can retake the test on Thursday only if they get their score sheet signed and returned on Thursday. 2. Students that made below a 70% can make test corrections with a parent signature for a score of 70% these need to be returned by Thursday. Due: Slope Test Corrections (Thursday) 4/3-4/7 This week we are continuing with our unit on Statistics. On Monday we are looking at how to interpret linear functions word problems and then for the rest of the week we will be focusing on two-way tables with a unit review on Friday for a test next Monday Due: Unit Review Packet (Monday, 4/10) 3/27-4/1 We do have school on Saturday 4/1. This week we are working with Linear Functions. After the test, we will begin our next unit on Scatter Plots and Bi-Variate Data. Students were given Warm Up packet for Quarter 4 and Weeks 25-30 Weekly Essentials on Monday. Due dates for both packets are yet to be determined. Students are responsible for making sure their weekly work is completed and keeping up with their packets. If one of these packets are lost, then they can use 15 PBIS tickets to get a new one.
